Dear Gyne/OB Patients:

We are open and seeing patients as scheduled. To keep our patients and staff safe and healthy, we are taking the following steps:

  • Disinfecting all patient rooms, offices and the lobby each day including door handles, keyboards, and light switches.
  • Hand washing stations and/or hand sanitizer is available in all areas of our office.
  • Exam rooms are being disinfected after each patient use.
  • Patients who are sick or have recently traveled from high risk areas are encouraged to reschedule appointments (we will have you speak with our clinical staff to obtain more information).
  • In addition to wearing gloves, our nurses and medical staff are washing their hands in between each patient, which is our standard procedure.
  • If you have an upcoming appointment with us, please plan to keep it as scheduled unless you are experiencing symptoms like fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath. In this case, as a precaution, please contact our office to reschedule (again, we would like you to speak with our clinical staff).  If you’ve traveled to any COVID-19 hotspots in the last 14 days or have been in close contact with someone who has traveled outside of the United States and is sick, please advise our staff.

Sincerely,
Gynecological and Obstetric Associates, S.C.

Our Services

All of our doctors are proficient at Robotic Surgery. Northwest Community Hospital is an epicenter for Gynecological Robotic Surgery. This exciting technology allows us to perform surgery that previously required large incisions with very small incisions and less blood loss. Patients often go home the same day they have their hysterectomy and with less pain. We also perform laparoscopic surgery and hysterectomies through a vaginal incision. These techniques similarly offer rapid recovery with less pain and bleeding than traditional open surgeries.

Dear beautiful women,
(And all women are beautiful)

We are an all female doctor Ob Gyn practice at your service.  Some of our patients have been with us over 40 years, since the inception of Gyne and Ob Associates in the 1960s.  Thank you to all of our loyal patients.

We believe all women have a health story, and we are all on a health journey.  Women are more empowered than ever before to take control of their health and achieve optimal wellbeing.

We are here to assist you in reaching your health goals. Whatever tools are available to the 21st century woman are at your disposal. Whether those tools are modern cutting edge techniques, like da Vinci® robotic surgery, minimally invasive hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.   Or whether those tools incorporate traditional medical traditions and everything in between.

Female health can encompass multiple goals, as varied as preconception counseling, fertility testing and treatment, birth control, endometriosis treatment, relief from fibroids, menopausal support, optimal sexual function, relief from abnormal menses, or healthy pregnancy and delivery.

We are at your service to help you reach your health goals, whatever they may be.  It is a privilege and a pleasure to participate in your health journey and to encourage you on the path to wellness.

To help us reach a multinational clientele, Dr. Jill Placek speaks fluent Spanish.  And Dr. Lorraine Novas speaks fluent Greek.

Thank you for allowing us to participate in your care.

To your health!
